About Ian Thomas, LMT, BA

Ian was guided into the healing arts in 2006 by an interest in Massage Therapy that led him to depart from his Genetics Research job and start a new journey. While his Cum Laude degree in Biology from Rollins College was very helpful in his massage studies, he believes that his therapeutic presence has led to his success in the field. Since 2007, Ian has been the top therapist at Healing Hands Massage in Media, PA, and maintains a solidly booked schedule there.

On his journey, Ian became introduced to Restorative Practices and became enamored with Nonviolent Communication by Marshall Rosenberg, which has been a strong guiding philosophy and way of being in his life. He learned that there is hope to shift even the most challenging of conflicts and destructive thought patterns to ones that serve our universal human needs. Ian also attended Jeff Primack’s Qi Revolution, and partook in Instructor Training courses. This solidified a shift in his life embracing and valuing the spiritual and energetic.

In 2014, Ian fell in love with CranioSacral Therapy, which holistically covers the spectrum of working with the physiological, emotional and energetic network of the body—often through fascial and emotional releases. He also feels inspired and awestruck by an offshoot of CST, Healing From the Core, which was developed to teach therapeutic presence—but it covers much, much more: discharging frozen traumatic energy, energetic cord cutting, releasing limiting beliefs, dream work, therapeutic imagery, distance healing—all guided through the client’s felt senses and an openness to discovery, while being grounded and connected with nourishing resources.

Ian hopes to share his gifts with you and support your own sense of empowerment as your body connects with nourishing resources as it releases physical and emotional restrictions.
